| A Three Year Dream Comes True |
Michael and Theresa celebrated their 15th anniversary onboard, with a memorable lobster dinner on Anegada. "We laughed and shared stories and music. What a wonderful experience!" Theresa was determined to experience BVI reef snorkeling, and no setbacks deterred her! Our Congratulations! |
| Cruise Ship Vacationers Opt for Small Ship Trip |
"What a way to celebrate or 25th anniversary. It was incredible to see the "other side" of the Caribbean that you can't get from a cruise ship. The trip around St. John opened up a whole new adventure for us. You have given us something we will never forget." It was fun sharing boating stories with this couple, and maintenance ideas, and they were lots of help onboard. |
| Seasick No More! |
Melinda was reluctant to sail, because of prior sea sickness episodes. However, "the patch" made life and vacation perfect!
"We were uncertain about this trip, but we are now really into the island/sailing thing. Thanks so much for teaching us to sail and Sharon, thanks for guiding me through the wonderful snorkeling sites."
|
| Four Time Repeat Guests! |
"Another great sail with you guys, and they just keep getting better and better. I love the way you keep finding great new anchorages, such wonderful secluded spots." The BVI has so many islands and anchorages, there is always a new place to visit.
|
| Greetings from St. Croix! |

We had a fun-filled summer sailing with repeat guests and meeting new vacationers. The winds were constant, the weather spectacular and we want to share some of our highlights with you. We are taking reservations for next year. Our new brochure is available on request, and our "boat alone" policy is in place for all weeks. If you reserve a 6-day vacation, the boat will be yours alone. You may fill it with friends and family for a modest increase in cost. |
| Family Repeats Favorite Vacation |
"Our teenage kids love all the action at sea. Since we are repeat sailors, it was fun to revisit favorite spots, but also to explore new adventures. Our favorite family vacation with the wonderful sailing, snorkeling, and hospitality." It was really interesting having this family for a second time. They had not lost any of their sailing knowledge and they jumped right into helping just where they had left off last time. The kids were two years older and it was fun seeing how they have changed. All of them are avid snorkelers. Sharon particularly enjoyed snorkeling with them in adventurous spots finding new and beautiful sea life. |
| Ohio Scientist Learns New Skill! |
"It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we decided to spend it aboard the Calypso Rose. Miel and Sharon, you truly gave us a week in paradise! We loved every minute of it, from the wonderful conversations, to the incredible snorkeling, and the memorable sailing lessons. Thank you for one of the best weeks of our lives!"
Wally loved being at the helm and keeping the yacht in the wind. He was very competent! And Miel learned a lot about DNA, stem cells, and cancer treatments. |
| Successful Kidney Transplant Makes Sailing Possible |
Loyal guests at our past B&B, Rose Hill Inn, Frank and Susan would often visit, but Frank's dialysis made travelling impossible. The wonderful donation of a kidney by his wife gave him liberty and freedom he had never had before. To celebrate, they booked a sailing vacation. "We cannot thank you enough for the special arrangements you made so that Frank could have this wonderful vacation, you went above and beyond and we are truly touched."

| Family Enjoys Scuba Vacation Aboard the Calypso Rose |
"As an experienced diver with well over 3500 dives worldwide, I was delighted not only by the quality of the dives in the BVI but with the accommodating way Miel and Sharon provided for our extra needs. It is not every sailboat captain that will calmly allow heavy SCUBA gear to be moved about the boat."
We had fun finding dive sites for this family, and learning more about diving. The dive plan is very important, and safety paramount. We eagerly awaited their reports upon surfacing!
We hope you enjoyed reading this newsletter and taking a mental mini vacation to some beautiful spots. We are taking bookings now for January - April for Winter Sailing Vacations, and our Summer Schedule is visible on the website.
